The month of April has become a difficult one for our family over the years. We experienced the homegoing of our infant son Curtis on April 4th 2007. And by that next April we were rejoicing over the birth of Joshua in 2008. He was our rainbow baby, the gift of life after the storm of loss.
In April of 2015 we had gone for the 10 week appointment to hear the heartbeat but learned that the baby had died possibly at 6.5 weeks of pregnancy.
Then in August of 2016 we learned that we were due April 1st of 2017. Things were going well and after an ultrasound my due date was changed to April 9th. At a routine check up at almost 15 weeks we failed to hear the heartbeat and looking at that beautiful baby on ultrasound there was indeed no heartbeat.
Through all of the joys and sorrows of these 10 years we know that our Heavenly Father has been with us and carried us along the way. We placed the blue flowers today to honor baby Curtis and the yellow to honor the babies we did not get to hold but are in the loving arms of Jesus in heaven.
